The Richland Rails stopped the Gwinnett Guinea Pigs, 5-3, behind an impressive performance from Andrés García. The 27-year old right fielder made life miserable for Gwinnett pitching. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Timo Reinhardt, the winning pitcher, improved to 3-8. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 6 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 0. Juan Trujillo collected save number 13.

In the top of the third of a scoreless game, García hit a 2-run home run to put his team ahead.

"Winning is all that really matters and we got it done today," García told the Richland Bulletin.
