The Richland Rails downed the Virginia Beach Whales, 9-4. The hitting star was third baseman Anthony Potter. Potter went 2 for 5 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Rails. Richland, with the win, sits at 24-46.

Potter contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Richland in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Potter took a curveball from George Butler and stroked the home run to right. His 5th home run of the season allowed the Rails to leap in front, 2-1.
