Nuevo Mexico Mariachis starter Alan Mytton pitched a strong game against the Richland Rails at Rails Ballpark, leading the Mariachis to victory, 2-0. Mytton got the win, improving to 4-6. He allowed 6 hits and walked 2 over 8 innings. Mytton allowed no runs. Nuevo Mexico, at 26-35, holds down 8th place in the Premier AA.
Joe Goff, the 27-year old right fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Goff contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put Nuevo Mexico up, 1-0.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Goff said after the game.
