Richland Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
The 5-1 Richland win over Athletic Club KC Academy was due in large part to Kevin Sanders. The Rails center fielder was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Richland reliever Juan Trujillo picked up the win, upping his record to 4-3. Roy Head absorbed the loss. Richland, with the win, is 18-35.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Sanders hit a fastball from Jessy Werther for a grand slam home run. The Rails, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Sanders. "And not try to do too much."
