Gwinnett rode a decent outing from starter Tyrone Tolbert to victory over the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks. The final score was 4-3. The Guinea Pigs move to 28-20 with the win, while the Thunder Hawks drop to 19-29.

Chong-chun Yi won the game with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth. In the contest, the Gwinnett third baseman went 1-3.

"I was a little disappointed," said Ft. Polk South manager John Anderson. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
