Crescent City Makes It 17 Straight with 7-6 Win
|
The Crescent City Krewe handed the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks a loss at Thunder Hawks Ballpark. The final score was 7-6. Major production was provided by Ernesto Secci for Crescent City. In addition to his 2 singles and 1 home run, he scored 3 runs and drove in 1. He also added 1 walk. Young-jae Chong snagged the win in relief. In 3 innings, the right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit. He's now 1-1 on the season. Crescent City goes to 32-12, Ft. Polk South to 17-27.
Crescent City used the clutch hitting of Jesse Fisher to capture the win. The designated hitter drilled a solo home run in the top of the 12th inning to put the Krewe ahead, 7-6. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"We bring energy to every game," said losing manager John Anderson. "But it's got to translate into wins."
