Leviathan Take Nail-Biter Over Athletic Club KC
|
The Nova Scotia Leviathan weathered an outstanding game by Athletic Club KC first baseman Vasan Parthiban to topple the Athletic Club KC, 4-3. Parthiban went 3-4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Nova Scotia reliever Artie Bates picked up the win, upping his record to 6-3. Jeffrey Strickland took the loss. Nova Scotia is now 40-55.
The Leviathan relied on first baseman Héctor Heredice for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 13th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.
"Good win for us, tough loss for them," said Heredice.
