Whales Reel Off Another Win
Good production from right fielder Sasha Mamchenko helped the Virginia Beach Whales topple the Richland Rails, 4-2. Mamchenko went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Whales. Virginia Beach has now reeled off 6 straight wins.

With Virginia Beach leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Mamchenko hit a solo home run off Richland hurler Timo Reinhardt. It was the 2nd home run of the season for Mamchenko and put his team ahead, 2-0.

"We need to keep playing good baseball," Mamchenko told the Virginia Beach Daily.
