Nuevo Mexico beat Richland on the strength of starter Alan Mytton's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. Francisco Pacheco recorded the save, his 7th. The Mariachis, at 12-15, sit in 8th place in the Premier AA.
Making an impact for Nuevo Mexico was left fielder Joe Goff. He drilled a run-scoring triple in the top of the fourth. For the game, Goff was 1 for 4 with a triple.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Richland manager Tony Newell said following the tough loss.
