Kyung-ryul Ko had a good game, but he could not keep the Crescent City Krewe from falling, 9-4, to the Virginia Beach Whales at Field of the Krewe. The Crescent City designated hitter was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs in the loss. Kevin Horton got the win, improving to 2-2. He held the Krewe to 3 runs on 5 hits over 5.2 innings, while striking out 2 and walking 4. Virginia Beach is now 10-15. Crescent City is 15-10.

The Whales got an important contribution from second baseman Jimmy Johns, who in the top of the fourth knocked a 0-1 fastball into right-center for a 2-run triple. It was his 2nd triple of the season and put the Whales ahead, 7-3.

"We did more than enough to get the win," said Johns.
