Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Mariachis
Nuevo Mexico starter Kent Woods pitched well against the Ithaca Fighting Imps at Mariachi Band Shell. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-1. Nuevo Mexico is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 8th in 20 games.

Had Dane Ingleby not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Ingleby hit a 2-run double. That made the score 3-1, in favor of the Mariachis.

"We didn't string enough hits together to win the game," said tight-lipped Ithaca manager Gary Thomas. "Obviously."
