Voodoo Curb Dirty Reds, 3-1
|
In a tight game between the New Orleans Voodoo and the San Mateo Dirty Reds, pitcher Marty Taylor was terrific on the mound. The New Orleans left-hander helped his team to the 3-1 win. The Voodoo, at 46-47, sit in 5th place in the Premier League.
New Orleans used a timely hit from León García to get the win. The first baseman delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the sixth inning to put the Voodoo on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was huge.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said New Orleans skipper Chase Sims. "I can't complain."
