Rails Take Down Ogres, 4-2
|
The Richland Rails beat the Olympia Ogres, 4-2. Richland pitcher and São José dos Campos, Brazil, native Roberto Chaumond led the way. Richland pitcher José Cantú got the win. He's now 1-1. Carroll Harris was tagged with the loss. With the win, Richland improves its record to 8-8.
Richland used the timely hitting of Nherbert Imperial to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Rails on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
In postgame remarks, Chaumond simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
