Rails Take Nail-Biter Over Whales
The Richland Rails had to overcome a fine performance from Virginia Beach pitcher Robert Joubert to grab a 2-1 win at Rails Ballpark. Joubert allowed 1 run over 8.2 innings. Juan Trujillo snagged the win in relief. In 3 innings, the right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit. He's now 1-1 on the season. The win lifts Richland to a record of 7-7.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 12th inning, when Richland second baseman Mariano Cabral, facing Brad Walsh, had a run-scoring ground out. It gave the Rails the 2-1 win.

"Every loss hurts," said Virginia Beach manager Domingo García. "But this was a tough one."
