Thunder Hawks Walk It Off for 4th Win of Season
|
Ft. Polk South rode a decent outing from starter Teddy Barnes to victory over the Athletic Club KC Academy. The final score was 5-4. Ft. Polk South reliever Bob Archer got the win, raising his record to 2-0. Aisea Amoka was tagged with the loss. The win gives Ft. Polk South a record of 4-3.
Ernesto García was the walk-off hero for Ft. Polk South. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Thunder Hawks right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Barnes said.
