Desi Liñares knocked in 4 runs to help Gwinnett beat Virginia Beach, 6-3. Liñares produced 1 single and 2 home runs. Gwinnett reliever José Marquis picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Brad Walsh absorbed the loss. The win leaves Gwinnett with a record of 4-2.

Liñares had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a first pitch fastball from Brad Walsh, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Guinea Pigs a 6-3 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Liñares.
