Pitcher Gilberto Elías was sensational for the Pine Island Dolphins in his team's 7-1 triumph over the Bethesda Atoms. Elías picked up the win, and it was well-earned. Elías, now 3-1, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 4, walking 5, and allowing 1 run. Pine Island is in second place in the Silver AA with a record of 61-38.

Pine Island used the timely hitting of Jorge Jáquez to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Dolphins on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
