The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles beat the Pine Island Dolphins, 7-4, at Mercer Island Grounds. Mercer Island left fielder Tom van Dam collected 2 singles and 1 double, while driving in 3 runs. The save was credited to Ed Cameron, his 3rd.

van Dam had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the second inning, when he hit a 2-run single. The Screaming Eagles went on to win.

"We're a talented bunch when we're playing well," said van Dam. "I think we showed that here."
