The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles got a magnificent performance from pitcher César Pinto, who muffled the Lake Minnetonka offense en route to a tight 3-0 Screaming Eagles win at Heron Field. In 5.1 innings, Pinto surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 2. He allowed no runs. Dave Franks closed the game out for Mercer Island, earning his 3rd save.

In the top of the first, Máximo Zubiete hit a solo home run. The 3rd home run of the season for the Mercer Island second baseman put the Screaming Eagles on top, 1-0.
