Loss to Screaming Eagles Extends Bethesda Losing Streak
The 2050 season is getting uglier for Bethesda.

Armando Moreno never let Bethesda get something going. The Mercer Island right-hander commanded his curveball in pitching the Screaming Eagles to a 5-1 win. The winner was Mercer Island reliever Fred Koch, now 3-1. The loser was Eddy Geels.

Mercer Island relied on the bat of Seppo Kimmonen to get the win. The shortstop ripped a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Screaming Eagles ahead, 2-1. For the game, Kimmonen had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Bethesda manager Ted Hansen.

The first-place Screaming Eagles have won 5 in a row.
