Lake Minnetonka pitcher Dave Jenkins did his part in helping his team beat the Providence Pilgrims, 4-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Jenkins picked up the win for Lake Minnetonka, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 6-7. Octávio Ortíz earned his 6th save in 7 chances.
In the bottom of the fifth, with Lake Minnetonka leading 2-0, Mike Manley hit a fastball from Rich Baker for a 2-run single, giving the Love Boats the lead, 4-0.
"I think we all put in a good day's work," said Manley.
The Love Boats go to 43-40, putting them 4th in the Silver AA.
