The New Orleans Voodoo and Hollywood Shredders provided some drama for the home crowd.
The Hollywood Shredders picked up a win at The Voodoo Lounge, knocking off the New Orleans Voodoo, 4-3. Starting pitcher Van Hileman was a big reason why. Hileman got the win, improving to 9-5. He allowed 5 hits and walked 0 over 7 innings. Hileman allowed 3 runs. Tom DeHart earned his 13th save in 16 chances.
In the top of the seventh inning, Lautaro Lacasa went deep for the Shredders. With Hollywood trailing 3-1, he drilled a 2-run home run.
After the game, Hollywood manager Bill Cheese applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
New Orleans, at 44-44, has lost 4 straight.
