The Minnesota Loons got a magnificent performance from pitcher Christian Adams, who muffled the Barton Springs offense en route to a tight 2-1 Loons win at Blues Field. Adams got the win, improving to 5-3. He allowed 5 hits and walked 1 over 7.2 innings. Adams allowed 1 run. Carlos Piñeiro recorded his 2nd save for Minnesota.

It could have been a different outcome for Minnesota, had it not been for Pedro Palgon, the 22-year old third baseman . Palgon contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the first inning to put Minnesota up, 1-0.

"The old adage is true," said Palgon. "Good pitching stops good hitting."

The Loons improve their record to 33-36 with the win over Barton Springs.
