Atoms Losing Streak at 10 After Extra-Inning Loss to Cangrejos Fantasmas
The Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas beat the Bethesda Atoms, 5-3, in 11 innings. Chesapeake second baseman Dave Lawrence, in particular, had a fine performance. He was 1-1 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Chesapeake pitcher Anil Seshu got the win. He's now 2-4. Joey Martin was tagged with the loss. Nick Cummins closed the door for Chesapeake, picking up his 3rd save of the year.

This game was not decided until Tony Díaz came to bat in the top of the 11th. With the bases loaded and two out, the Chesapeake center fielder drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Cangrejos Fantasmas took the lead, 4-3.
