Love Boats Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Thunder
The Lake Minnetonka Love Boats got a stellar performance from pitcher Dan Rasmussen, who handcuffed the St. Petersburg offense en route to a win, 5-2, at Heron Field. Rasmussen, the winner, moves to 5-6. He threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 4 walks. St. Petersburg's current losing streak has reached 5 games.

The Love Boats got an important contribution from center fielder Lucas Lerwill, who in the bottom of the fifth knocked a first pitch knuckle curve into right-center for a 2-run double. It was his 11th double of the season and put the Love Boats ahead, 2-0.

"Enjoyed this one," Lerwill told the Lake Minnetonka Gazette. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
