Providence left fielder Stephen Adams had a 4-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Squirrel Hill Pierogis, 7-3. Nicolas Gomes, the winning pitcher, is now 7-2. He went 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits, while fanning 2 and walking 1. The win makes Providence 34-28.
Adams contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Providence in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Adams took a fastball from In-chor Im and stroked the home run to right. His 13th home run of the season allowed the Pilgrims to leap in front, 2-1.
