The Barton Springs Blues picked up a win at Atoms Field, knocking off the Bethesda Atoms, 4-3. Starting pitcher Chris Thompson played a key role in the triumph. Barton Springs is now 30-30, Bethesda 15-45.

It was a remarkable effort from Thompson, who is one of the team leaders. Thompson recorded 8 strikeouts in 6.1 innings while allowing 2 hits. Thompson moves to 2-4 on the year with 49 strikeouts.
