Loons Score Late to Upend Cangrejos Fantasmas, 3-1
|
Minnesota starter Micheal Bly put a stranglehold on the Chesapeake offense. The right-hander had complete command of his slider in leading the Loons to a 3-1 win. Minnesota reliever George Murray picked up the win, raising his record to 1-1. Ken Barrett was tagged with the loss. Minnesota has now won 3 in a row.
Gianni Schaar chipped in for Minnesota, stroking a crucial run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning. For the game, the right fielder went 3-4 with a double and 2 singles.
"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Bly told the Minnesota Gazette.
