The Squirrel Hill Pierogis topped the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats, 4-2, in USSL Double A action at Field of the Rawhides. The standout performance belonged to Squirrel Hill pitcher and Palwal, India, native Bhunandana Lecamwasam. Lecamwasam got the win, improving to 5-0. He allowed 7 hits and walked 1 over 6.2 innings. Lecamwasam allowed 2 runs. The win for the Pierogis lifted their record to 36-18.
Chipping in for Squirrel Hill was catcher Tony Kessler. He stroked a double in the bottom of the third. For the game, Kessler was 1 for 3 with a double.
Lake Minnetonka manager Doug Green said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
