Dolphins Beat Love Boats, 3-1

The Pine Island Dolphins got a magnificent effort from pitcher Leo Clark, who kept Lake Minnetonka hitters in check en route to a 3-1 Dolphins win at Heron Field. In 6.2 innings, Clark surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run. Joe Horne finished to wrap up his 5th save.
In the top of the fourth, Pine Island second baseman Freddie Wilson had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Wilson stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 2-0, Pine Island. For the game, he was 1 for 3 with a walk.
"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Clark told the Pine Island Citizen.
The Dolphins' win now puts them at 28-16.
