St. Petersburg Gets 4-1 Win
|
St. Petersburg pitcher Colm Broomfield did his part in helping his team beat the Bethesda Atoms, 4-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The save went to Juan López, his 8th this season. St. Petersburg is now 18-25. Bethesda is 11-32.
Kauto Jarvi, the 25-year old second baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Jarvi contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the fifth inning to put St. Petersburg up, 1-0.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Jarvi.
