MacKinlay, Love Boats Too Much for Dolphins
|
The Lake Minnetonka Love Boats topped the Pine Island Dolphins by the score of 6-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to right fielder Calum MacKinlay. MacKinlay went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Love Boats on the day. Rick Scott recorded his 6th save for Lake Minnetonka. The Love Boats, at 24-19, have now won 4 straight.
Had Kwi-tae Im not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Im hit a 2-run single. That made the score 5-3, in favor of the Love Boats.
"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," MacKinlay told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
