Bethesda Sunk by Squirrel Hill, 4-1
|
The Squirrel Hill Pierogis went home winners at Field of the Rawhides, thanks in large part to starter Morgan Jones. Jones stifled the Bethesda Atoms, enabling Squirrel Hill to grab the 4-1 win. With the win over Bethesda, the Pierogis improved to 20-7.
Squirrel Hill took a 3-1 lead on Tony Kessler's 2nd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Kessler hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Bethesda pitcher Paul Glover shaking his head.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Jones.
