The Barton Springs Blues went home winners at Blues Field, thanks in large part to starter Herman Clayton. Clayton stifled the St. Petersburg Thunder, enabling Barton Springs to grab the 4-1 win. Graviel Azevedo recorded the save, his 2nd. Barton Springs, with the win, climbs to 9-17.

Kuniyuki Sato chipped in for Barton Springs with a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 1 RBI.

"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Clayton.
