Screaming Eagles Roll to 8-2 Win Over Thunder
Mercer Island Screaming Eagles starter David Sullivan had all his pitches working at Baby Thunder Dome. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 8-2 Mercer Island win over the St. Petersburg Thunder. Sullivan, now 3-0, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs. The defeat makes St. Petersburg 9-9.

Mercer Island used the timely hitting of Alberto Hernández to capture the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Screaming Eagles on top, 5-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but he made it count.

"I liked his command," said Mercer Island manager Ricardo Vargas. "David was throwing strikes."
