The Bethesda Atoms defeated the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats, 8-3. Doing his part was shortstop Jeff Childs, who was 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. With the win, Bethesda climbs to 2-7.

The Atoms got an important contribution from second baseman U-ram Chong, who in the bottom of the first knocked a first pitch changeup into left for a 2-run double. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Atoms ahead, 3-0.

"Anything I can do to help the team win," said Chong.
