Chesapeake Still On the Schneid After 5-3 Loss to Thunder
The St. Petersburg Thunder picked up a win at Ghost Crab Park, knocking off the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas, 5-3. On the mound for St. Petersburg was right-hander Manuel Villalobos, who played a pivotal role in the win. The winning pitcher was Villalobos, now 1-0. He tossed 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 6. Juan López picked up the save, his 2nd.

John King tagged a home run off Clay Perkins in the top of the fifth. His 3-run blast put the Thunder on top, 4-1. In all, King had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"This losing is getting old," said Chesapeake manager Dave Everett.
