Greenville Makes It 6 Straight with 7-3 Win
The Greenville 84s extended their winning streak.

San Mateo wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Sylvain Richard, falling to the Greenville 84s, 7-3. Richard threw 7.0 innings of 2-hit ball for the losing team. Greenville reliever Zack Coffey picked up the win, raising his record to 3-0. Michael Donovan was tagged with the loss.

Had it not been for Dan Wells, the results might have been different. In the bottom of the eighth inning, when the 84s were trailing 3-2, Wells hit a 2-run single for Greenville, giving his team the lead.

"The fans pay the tickets and help us do what we do, so we like to put on a show for them," Wells told the Greenville Times.

Greenville is now 50-31.
