Dolphins Jolt Pilgrims, 2-1, with Late Rally

Leo Clark never let the Pilgrims get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his slider, to pitch the Dolphins to a win, 2-1. Pine Island reliever Eric Hill was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Lodovico Tadini. The win takes Pine Island to 5-1.
Pine Island won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. With no outs and Lodovico Tadini on the mound for Providence, center fielder Ernie Lewis hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Dolphins fans to their feet.
Lewis described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
