The Rainbow Mermaids grabbed a win, 4-3, at Atlantica, overcoming a fine effort from Mississippi pitcher Noud Taaij. Taaij went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. The Rainbow Mermaids sit in 7th place in the Premier League with a record of 33-40.
Júlio Salazar electrified the crowd in the bottom of the tenth when he took Mississippi pitcher Amberlan Romubio deep. His solo home run sent the Rainbow Mermaids home winners.
"That's a solid team effort right there," said Salazar. "Everyone's feeling positive after that win."
