The Oakland Oaks did just enough to sneak past the Toledo Stingers, 4-3, at Pacesetter Park. Oakland pitcher Nick Snyder, in particular, had a standout performance. Snyder got the win, improving to 18-1. He allowed 5 hits and walked 1 over 6.2 innings. Snyder allowed 1 run. Andy Dundee earned the save for Oakland, his 31st of the year.

Oakland used the bat of Ernesto Sacasas to get the win. The catcher hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Oaks ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.

Sacasas said afterward that his team has grown over the course of the season, adding: "It feels good when a plan comes together."
