Charleston right-hander Ken Grant helped his team edge D.C. by the score of 3-2. Grant kept the opposing lineup in check. Charleston pitcher James Tucker got the win. He's now 5-1. Amadi Azagba was tagged with the loss. The win elevated the Battery to 48-42.

Layton Arntsen electrified the crowd in the bottom of the ninth when he took D.C. pitcher Amadi Azagba deep. His solo home run sent the Battery home winners.

"This place went bonkers at the end," Grant said.
