The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC picked up a win at Panda Park, knocking off the Montana Pandas, 3-1. Starting pitcher Miguel Pérez was a big reason why. Armando Trujillo got the save, his 14th in 17 chances. The 'W' lifts Thunder Bay's record to 39-46.

António Cruz, the 28-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Cruz contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put Thunder Bay up, 2-1.

"Getting the win feels nice," said Pérez. "More importantly, I had a good game."
