The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC topped the D.C. Divided, 2-1, in Menard's Third League action at Great Northern Field. The standout performance belonged to Thunder Bay pitcher and Auckland, New Zealand, native Ralph Hanscombe. The 7th-place Divided have dropped 5 straight games.

Andy Gould drove in one run for Thunder Bay. The 26-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off José Espinosa. It was his 24th RBI of the season.

"It was a good effort all around," said Gould.
