Bowties Edge Past Stingers, 4-3

The Buckhead Bowties had to overcome a fine effort from Toledo pitcher Volmer Aalbers to grab a narrow 4-3 win at Pacesetter Park. Aalbers went 6.2 innings and allowed 3 runs. The Bowties, at 30-41, sit in 10th place in the Third League.
This game was not decided until Carlos Vélez came to bat in the top of the ninth. With the bases loaded and one out, the Buckhead designated hitter hit a sacrifice fly. The Bowties took the lead, 4-3.
"We did enough to win," said Vélez.
