Coeur Edge Outlaws, 1-0
|
The St. Louis Coeur picked up a win at The BFIB, knocking off the Nashville Outlaws, 1-0. Starting pitcher Doug Santamarina was a big reason why. Santamarina picked up the win for St. Louis, going 6 innings. He gave up no runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 3-5. Thad Parker picked up the save, his 8th.
Mark MacGrewar drove in one run for St. Louis. The former first round draft pick had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Fernando Ríos. It was his 18th RBI of the season.
Santamarina called the win "a team effort."
With the win, the Coeur improved to 24-34.
