Knights Top Divided in Extras, 2-1
|
Fans who congregated at Washington Stadium were treated to extra-inning drama.
The Kingston Township Knights beat the D.C. Divided, 2-1, at Washington Stadium. Starting pitcher Rodrigo García was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Kingston Township is now 33-22.
García was effective for Kingston Township, seldom allowing the Divided to square up a pitch. The right-hander tossed 110 pitches over 8 innings. He limited D.C. to just 1 run on 3 hits.
"The game is never over 'til it's over," said a jubilant Rayzor Ray, the Kingston Township skipper.
