Piranhas Lose to Stingers, 2-1
|
The Toledo Stingers got a stellar performance from pitcher Archie MacMurchy, who handcuffed the Panama City offense en route to a win, 2-1, at Pacesetter Park. Claude Richardson earned the save, his 12th, for the Stingers. Toledo now has a record of 31-21 with the win.
Kameron Guangorena had a timely hit in the bottom of the fifth inning. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, the Toledo catcher hit a run-scoring single. That put the Stingers in front, 2-1.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Guangorena.
