Outlaws Lose to Piranhas, 5-1
|
The Panama City Piranhas picked up a win at The Tank, knocking off the Nashville Outlaws, 5-1. Starting pitcher Bruce Wilson was a big reason why. Panama City now has a record of 27-16 with the win.
The Outlaws had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Piranhas going into the bottom of the second inning. That changed quickly when the 27-year old catcher Reynaldo García came to the plate. García hit a 2-run double on a 2-2 curveball from Nashville hurler Fernando Ríos. It was García's 4th double of the year.
"Bruce did a tremendous job," said Panama City manager Brian Talamante.
