Ft. Myers Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
The Ft. Myers Marlins topped the Monongahela Monsters, 5-4, in USSL Triple A action at League Park. The standout performance belonged to Ft. Myers pitcher and Gulfport, Mississippi, native Forest Bell. Their 44-55 record puts the Marlins 6th in the Silver AAA.

The Marlins were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when catcher Claude Harper turned a 0-1 sinker from Carlos Rodríguez into a 2-run single. The walk-off single electrified the League Park denizens and sent the Marlins home with a thrilling 5-4 win.
